Hello,
We have 11 goats - a herd - that we would love to keep as a herd but don't need to. There are a few that would make amazing pets. They are so sweet - there are 3 that would be especially great around kids for youth programming.
At the land collective I live at in Scituate, we have used them to help manage our land and clear fields from invasives the last couple of years. They are fantastic at this and I know even some ecological landscaping businesses (nothing local) that use goats to eat through poison ivy or regularly "mow" their lawns/properties (schools etc). Maybe you are the person to start this business!
I know there are some goat sanctuaries as well but we are looking for $ for them.
We are selling them for $250-$350 depending on the size of the goat and are willing to work with you on delivering them (but would prefer pick up) or throwing in some materials you would need to get started with goats. You can talk directly to the goat herd expert and caretaker, if interested - Sagan is cc'd here.
Do you know anyone that is interested in buying one as a pet? Wants a herd? Looking to breed them for meat or otherwise? Any leads are welcomed.
Happiest of spring! Please reach out if you want to come visit these sweet babes in Scituate.
