Legislative Update - April 3, 2026

We are currently tracking 43 bills in the Rhode Island state assembly. Since my last update 2 weeks ago:

S-2142 Foot Paths for Public Access passed out of committee and the Senate voted in favor (that's good!). It was referred to the House Judiciary, but the house companion bill (H-7351) hasn't moved out of committee (yet!).

H-7892 Wildfire Education had a hearing in the House Education Committee and H-7966 The Extreme Temperature Worker Protection Act had a hearing in the House Labor Committee. Both were held for further study (as almost every bill in the House is until May/June).
