Just a reminder to join us today (Thursday, August 21) at 12:00 PM for a Virtual Lunch & Learn: Hunting, Fishing, and Environmental Education.
We’re excited to welcome our guest speaker Courtney Nicolson, Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Save The Bay - and an avid hunter and fisher. Courtney will dive into the connections between hunting, fishing, and environmental stewardship. She’ll discuss how these communities contribute to conservation through fees, habitat restoration, and research support. We'll also explore barriers to participation, common misconceptions, and the shared goals between environmental educators and the sporting community, like conservation, access, and shared use of natural spaces. Courtney will share her personal journey into hunting and fishing, and there will be time for Q&A and discussion.
