Sorry for the delay - again!! I usually send this biweekly leg update out on Fridays but I was travelling this past weekend.

We are still tracking 43 bills in the Rhode Island state assembly. The full list of bills, updates, and links to testimony that I've submitted on behalf of RIEEA can be found on our 2026 Bill Tracker, but here are a couple of highlights since last my update:

🌱 S-2327/H-7230 Native Plant Month, designating the month of May as "Rhode Island Native Plant Month" with activities to recognize and educate people about Rhode Island's native plants, has passed in the Senate and been referred to House Special Legislation.

♻️ S-2438/H-7342A School Waste Recycling and Refuse Disposal would amend school waste recycling and refuse disposal, require reports of waste audits and program participation, and authorize the use of share tables in schools. The Sub A passed in the House and has been referred to Senate Environment and Agriculture.

I truly hope you're having a great day and that you find some time to enjoy the sunshine! 🌞
