Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator will provide organizational, logistical, and communications support for a collaborative initiative between the University of Rhode Island (URI), the Rhode Island Environmental Education Association (RIEEA), and participating environmental education (EE) organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate outreach, recruitment, and placement of URI students with partner EE organizations.
Develop, design, and maintain the program website, ensuring content accuracy, accessibility, and timely updates.
Develop and manage a digital repository of instructional resources, reports, and shared materials.
Serve as a primary liaison among URI, RIEEA, and partner organizations to support coordination and effective communication.
Maintain records and assist with evaluation, reporting, and dissemination of program outcomes.
Contribute to outreach materials, newsletters, and social media or web communications highlighting program activities and impacts.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, environmental studies, communications, project management, or a related field.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other digital collaboration tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Work Schedule:
8-15 hours per week (hybrid)
Some evening or weekend hours may be required for events or partner coordination.
Position Status:
Grant-funded; temporary appointment (up to 12 months)
