Hey RIEEA,

There are flowers blooming along the Woonasquatucket River Greenway and incredible botanical art, so I'm organizing a celebratory event this weekend to soak it all in. We are having three incredible artists join us for the event (more info below and at the link!) to speak about their work, and the blooms will hopefully speak for themselves. :) 10am-10:45 we'll be gathering at the Greenway behind Gotham Greens (by the big floral mural), so come join us there, and stick around for a bike tour of the Greenway from 11am-12:30. Register here, bring a friend, and pass along this info (below) to help us spread the word.

P.S., I will be doing some floral face paint, first come first serve 🌼🪻💐

Greenway Flowers Bike Ride

Saturday, April 11, 2026

10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Gotham Greens, Providence

Register here

Spring is showing off on the Greenway and you’re invited to be part of it. Join us behind Gotham Greens for Greenway Flowers, a vibrant celebration where art, nature, and community come together. Hear directly from local artists Allison Newsome, Tate Won Chen and Warren Collins, as they unveil new installations, explore a space transformed by creativity and care, and enjoy a lively morning filled with music, games, and neighbors gathering along the river.

Then take it to the trail. Hop on for a relaxed, guided bike ride through miles of blooming bulbs and River Rangers projects in action. With over 35,000 flowers popping this season, it’s the perfect way to experience the Greenway in motion. Come for the art, stay for the ride, and see just how alive this space has become.

All the best,
