Hi everyone,

A trio of really cool science-based AmeriCorps positions crossed my desk this week that I wanted to share with this network. This could be a great opportunity for young folks coming out of high school or taking a college gap year - or between undergrad and grad school as I did!

Check it out:

The NPS Scientists in Parks internships for the period starting in the fall and winter (mostly with flexible start dates) are now posted and applications are open until June 14 (or until 60 applications for any given position are in).
I want to draw attention in particular to a year-long position based at URI's Bay Campus supporting coastal climate adaptation: Natural Resource Management Assistant (52 Weeks) - AmeriCorps at Conservation Legacy

In addition, there is a salt marsh monitoring position that will either be based at Gateway National Recreation Area (NY/NJ), or also at URI Bay Campus (as backup) that currently incorrectly is listed as based in Fort Collins on the website search: Ecology Assistant (52 Weeks) - AmeriCorps at Conservation Legacy

Also at URI and potentially of interest is a year-long position with Northeast Coastal and Barrier Network:

Thanks for sharing!

Rachel
