Agenda will only include the 2nd reading of Ordinance 2025-09 -City of Ridgeside, TN to set the property tax rate above the certified tax rate.

For those of us who are unable to make these meetings are there minutes we can read to know what is in the Ordinance 2025-09 that is being read a second time on July 29th? Especially regarding what the new tax rate will be and why?

Thanks Nicole,

All commission meeting minutes are recorded by the Secretary Commissioner Maria Thompson (ridgeside...@gmail.com) and posted on our website (www.ridgeside.net for public record by state law...thank you to Eric Chastain for volunteering to manage our website). Please note that minutes are recorded at every meeting but not posted until they have been reviewed and approved by the commission at the following quarterly meeting. (last week's meeting minutes were taken but are not posted yet). 

I have attached the original copy of the ordinance. It was passed on 1st reading last week (fyi-Ordinances require two readings at least 10 days apart and resolutions require one). The Statement of Intent notification was posted on our website (www.ridgeside.net), sent to the Ridgeside Google Group, in the Harold publication and in the Chattanoogan 10 days prior to the July 16, 2025 meeting.

Please direct any questions to our Treasurer Commissioner Darian Collins (ridgeside...@gmail.com) or Janet Jobe (jane...@gmail.com) our Financial Advisor who assists in preparing the budget and provides prudent suggestions regarding fiscal decisions for the commission to consider.
