Safety Tip Reminders

Dear All,

Historically and across the board, opportunistic and petty crime increases around the holidays and summer vacation time. Here are some things we can do (and not do) to stay ahead of the game and prevent unnecessary crime. 

                  SAFETY TIP REMINDERS

DO:

 -Leave exterior lights on at night

 -Cut bushes back around property

 -Install motion sensor lights 

 -Install a Ring camera

 -Invest in a home security system. (If you already have one make sure it’s working properly)

 -Let your neighbors know when you’re out of town. Stop mail and newspaper delivery. Set timer on inside and outside lights (Better yet, hire a house sitter) 

 DO NOT:

 -Leave anything in car (day or night) 

 -Park on the street..especially overnight

 -Leave packages on porch…ever

 -Leave newspaper in yard

 -Leave mail in mailbox over night..ever

 -Post vacation photos on social media while you are out of town.
