Today's the Day! You can help support the Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge by making a donation, joining the Friends, or renewing your membership this Giving Tuesday! By becoming a member, you get to join a group of hardworking dedicated volunteers, staff, and supporters who work diligently to make the distinctive programs of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge come to life. All members also receive perks like invitations to member’s only events, walks and talks, and a member card with discounts to local businesses. Members who join at the $50 level or above receive an annual Refuge pass, good to get you onto the Refuge for an entire year.
We hope to raise $1,500 during Giving Tuesday to support our Habitat Restoration and Cultural & Environmental Education programs. If 75 of our Friends each give $20, we can reach our goal of $1,500 in no time! Will you help us raise $200 through a personal donation request in your networks? As one of our Friends, we could use your help in getting the word out about our mission and cause. If everyone who is reading this encourages just one person to donate, we'll reach our goal, thanks to you! - $25.00 provides about five 1 gallon native plants for restoration at the Refuge.
- $50.00 provides supplies for two in-classroom visits for environmental and cultural education.
- $100.00 provides supplies for our weekly habitat restoration work parties.
- $200.00 provides wood for the BirdFest & Bluegrass Salmon Bake at the Plankhouse.
- $500.00 provides transportation for approximately 100 students to the Refuge.
- If you become a Friends member, $1000.00 makes you a lifetime member, and we would be almost there!
- Any amount can make a difference, from native plants, to tools, to snacks for volunteers and eggs for egg paint activities- we simply couldn't do it without you.
