But for some time I have been donating to a woman in Rogers Park who has organized a ‘free store’ in a church basement, where refugees and immigrants can ‘shop’ for necessities (things, not food) for free.

 I just brought over a bunch of coats and jackets…it is getting cold and a lot of these people are from warm places (like Venezuela) and do not know  how to protect themselves. If anyone is interested, please email me back and I will send more information …Arlene at 926 Ridge Ct.

Barbara Ryan is the organizer.. the church is on Ashland and she lives nearby. Her phone number is 773-220-1414. I usually call her when I have some things ready, and she lets me know whether the ‘store’ or her front porch is the best place to bring things. She is wonderful.
