Dear all,

I am enjoying my last few weeks of vacation in Central America/Caribbean before I head home to the USA after 3 1/2 years. I am very happy to be coming home after this long time abroad and after having had so many challenging and enriching experiences while living in Jordan and Haiti.

I spent last week in Guatemala with my dear friends Anne, Brian, and their daughter Cayli (and joined by Brian's parents visiting from Holland). I am now in St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands awaiting the arrival of my family (Dad, Connie, and Ann) to come down to the Caribbean and escort me home! :-) But only after a beautiful week in paradise all together!

I will make my "new" home in Monterey, California - the most beautiful place in the US in my view, and where I feel most at home. I will be working for the Monterey Institute of International Studies as a Marketing Enrollment Manager. For the short-term future, I will be renting a cottage from my dear friend and former professor/mentor, Dr. Ed Laurance and his wife Cindy, and getting to spend time with their beautiful family.
