Just a quick reminder that the Ride of Silence is just Two (2) days
away & we are hoping to get as many riders involved as we can to honor
fallen cyclists and to raise awareness to share the road with
motorists. If you can't make a local ride (or one near you) set your
alarm on your phone/watch/clock to 7:00pm this Wednesday and stop
yourself for a moment of silence in honor of those cyclists that have
been injured or killed on public roads.
Thanks go out to Kristin Bates at the Petoskey News Review for a
wonderful article in Saturday's edition. Check it out here:

In case you didn't know, it is Bike to Work Week with the R of S right
in the middle to help raise awareness for safe cycling...not to
mention saving a little gas, reducing pollution & getting some
exercise to boot! I hope you can take the opportunity to pedal to work
this week.
Remember that the Harbor Springs ride will meet downtown H.S. at the
Harbormaster parking lot (250 E. Bay St.)by 6:30pm with your 2010
Yellow R of S - HS T-shirt (or something yellow if possible), your
bike and your helmet. It looks like we'll have a little detour again
this year due to road construction downtown. Once again, we are going
to work very hard for all riders to ride double file (as allowed by
law) to show how courteous cyclists share the road.
I am also looking for someone to act as a photographer for the event.
Nothing professional, just some candid shots before & during the ride.
If you or know someone that may be interested, please give me a call
for more details. I can even supply a digital camera.
I look forward to seeing you again this year and enjoying the ride.
Thank you,
