Hello Everyone,

You are cordially invited to attend the upcoming session of the
Research in Computer Science Seminar (RICSS). Please pass this
invitation on to other students, staff, and faculty members who
would be interested in attending the upcoming talk.

Date: Friday, December 4, 2009
Location: Campus Center Room 302
Time: 12:15 - 1:15

Presenter:

Jim Kukunas
Department of Computer Science
Allegheny College

Title:

"Gitting" Comfortable with Distributed Version Control

Abstract:

Distributed version control is a relatively new paradigm in the
field of version control software. The most prominent of the
distributed version control systems is Git, designed and written
by Linus Torvalds for use within the Linux kernel project. This
presentation provides a high-level overview of Git's history,
features, and workflow in an effort to illustrate the concept of
distributed version control systems.

All are welcome to attend!
