Turning Scribbles into Science:
A Tale of Undergraduate Research at Allegheny College

Undergraduate research is an amazing opportunity that few think
of as being a possibility. The process of proposing an idea,
obtaining the necessary funds, and completing the research can
seem daunting, but is not necessarily out of reach. This talk
will chronicle the events surrounding a software testing
research project performed during the summer of 2007. We will
also provide a detailed explanation of how a software testing
tool uses three minimal set cover algorithms to reduce
regression test suites. The presentation will offer an overview
of the steps that an undergraduate should take to ensure a
successful research experience at Allegheny College.

All are welcome to attend!

Kind Regards,
