Whileher 2007 launch was not expected to be anything special, the cyber celebrity was immediately met with immense popularity. Magazines with CD samples of Miku's voicebank were selling out and previous Vocaloid updates were already getting pushed aside for Hatsune Miku.

More than a decade after her release, Miku's importance in the anime community is still huge. She is now part of the Piapro character lineup, which sees a lot of new interpretations of the Vocaloid's style. She's such a beloved character that a Japanese man wed a hologram of her in 2018 to show his love for her in a "concrete" form.

Her image as an otaku icon has not only remained, but crossed over into the more mainstream world with a Coachella performance, late night talk show visits, and even her own signature Hatsune Miku blend of tea.

If you want a nice visual of Miku outside of her usual style, this release from Myethos is an absolute must. The release of this figure was very limited, but the wait and the struggle was worth it. The gorgeous detailing of Miku's expression and the elegant look of her Chinese dress is really unmatched. The ways her eyes glisten and her hair billows out in wisps of gentle ribbon are truly spell-binding. Fans of Hatsune Miku definitely won't want to miss this!

I watched the Sakura Wars TV series and quite enjoyed its steampunk setting during the Taisho Era. Great use of colours, good balance of comedy and action with some catchy theme songs too. Didn't know it started out as a Sega franchise back on the Sega Saturn (that was an interesting console!)

As I mentioned eariler, the handle on her family heirloom katana "Arataka" had snapped off so bit of Blu Tack to the rescue again. I'd glue it on but I wanted to show these bootleg figures as they are right out of the box as with the others I've reviewed.

Not quite sure what the proper name is for the veil Sakura is holding but it's supposed to be a "Katsugi" that Japanese women used to wear when going out during the 11th century. Its purpose to was hide the face similar to the Far East today although you don't see it in Japan today.

Sakura means cherry blossoms as any fansub watching Anime fan will know so can't miss having some petals on the translucent base. They actually appear a lot in the movie and Sakura's main colour is pink so suits the figure well.

The original character Tomoe Sakura, by the sculptor Tsutako Tsutakaze, is now a gorgeous 1/5-scale figure from Daiki Kogyou! Elements of her outfit (the cardigan, muffler, necktie and panties) are removable, so you can display her with more or less coverage as you like; interchangeable arms are included too. Sakura briefly learns the identity of the mysterious cloaked figure that has been appearing in her prophetic dreams to be none other than her new good friend Akiho. This is a contradict from the manga, where the cloaked figure was Syaoran.[1]

Lilie reveals herself to the true identity of the squid robed all along, Lilie explained she tried to communicate with Sakura, the key in Sakura's dream is taken away. Thus, Lilie accidentally appeared in Sakura's dream, trying to reach Sakura, but she is entangled in the scene where Sakura dreamed that her key was taken.[2]

Similar to Sakura's dragon dream, Lilie reappears in Sakura's dream and gets caught up in the mess. Also, the scene where Sakura dreams of Kaito disguised as a cat to replace Syaoran, but due to Lilie's reappearance, it accidentally mislead with the squid robed having a Syaoran's face.[2]

After an intense training period, Sakura acquires the ability to heal wounds, and joins Team 7 as an experienced medical ninja. By building up chakrain her fists, Sakura possesses super human strength, and has become protective of Naruto shielding him at all costs after learning of the hardships in his life.

This figure stands 7 inches tall and is sculpted in her outfit from Naruto Shippuden. Sakura comes equipped with a medical pouch, two sets of hands (relaxed and closed fists) and has 15+ points of articulation for full customization and posing. Naruto Shippuden display based included.

The way the details of the original illustration have been captured in figure form is quite incredible, but the way these details are interpreted in 3D space is another overall highlight, and one entirely unique to the figure medium.

Both of these flower features of the figure are beautifully drawn in the original illustration, but in figure form, the freesia flowers have been recreated with translucent parts and glasslike paintwork, adding another layer of detail to the figure!

A great deal of attention and care was required to bring out the strengths of this hybrid production process and make the figure look as beautiful as possible, but we are very happy to be able to present it to the world!
