Fake truths for the middle class:


  • Work hard, money will come
  • “Even if you’re a janitor, strive to be the best janitor”
  • Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself
  • Money doesn’t create happiness, i.e. “most rich people are actually miserable”


It would be absurd to posit that the rich intentionally crafted these lies to keep the middle class the middle class.


No. I believe the middle class invented these lies themselves in egoic defense against wealth creation and to escape capitalist competition (which is uncomfortable and hard).


*Religion is the important medium for these lies to propagate.
