Job Description

Vendor support is needed to provide services to design, develop, migrate, test and implement SharePoint 2016 Online for the new Intranet Website.

Tasks Include:

• Write complex code to create fresh, best in class, dynamic Intranet website, the site should contain interactive elements. Adapt a fresh new innovative website to support department image and brand.  This department portal should be accessible from all browser and display as expected. 
• Create the SharePoint master page layout and subpages; the layout should be designed to allow for updates to reference holidays and special events.       
• Development of a master (1) page along with all subpages (.  The page should be designed based upon provided home page design

• Update all necessary changes and adjustments as desired by the customer
• Test website and all integration points i.e. database connections, forms, reports,
• Provide project status updates, completion of work and show actual website updates as requested.
• Provide documentation; conduct handover sessions with other developer on changes, code information and key development source\update steps.
• Strong Software Development concept
• Strong Data Migration Methodology utilizing either Metalogix, Avepoint, or ShareGate
• Strong Troubleshooting Skills
• Strong Macromedia Flash skill
• Strong Patience, dependable and determined resource
• Strong OOP [Event and Feature Receivers, Timer Jobs, Workflows, Reflection]
• Strong ASP.NET Web Forms Development [Web Parts, Custom ASPX Pages, etc.]
• Strong Knowledge of XML [Features, Content Types, Field Definitions]
• Strong JavaScript [jQuery SPServices, Custom Field Types, etc.]
• Willingness to Seek Out and Follow Best Practices
• Strong graphic design ability with Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Firework
• C# \ VB & ASP.NET (latest version) is a must for custom development.
• Common web development stuff like (HTML, CSS & JavaScript).
• Strong web layout design skills with Dreamweaver in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• SharePoint development a must.
• Great verbal and written skills.

 

Project Deliverables: 

• Fully functional SharePoint Intranet site
• Documentation outlining
• Development\configuration
• Implementation
• Develop and apply the SharePoint theme to the new web page, development subpages to accommodate an easy way to access information with a fresh look. 
• The applicant is required to work on-site.
• Contractor will report to the Strategic Services Manager and provide daily status reports to Project Manager
• Correct all issues found in the code and on webpages
• Migrate data utilizing automated tool (vendor supplied to perform the task)
• Conversion of Intranet Site to Go-Live production site.
