how to resize/drag appointments with ajax

I' using Rails 3.0.3 with ri_cal 0.8.8. Recently I noticed when I resize or drag the appointment to another position, it makes a request HTML, I want it to make a request as JS so that will be an AJAX call. Could anybody tell me how to do so? Thanks!
