OT how to send ics files via email

Hi i'm programming an application and i'm currently generating my
icalendar ics files using ri_cal. Anyway, is there a way to attach
those messages in an email so that applications open them
automatically and add them to the calendar ? Thanks a lot

Yes, you can attach icalendar documents to email. I believe you can
even make the body of the email be the content of the document and set
the Content-Type header. Look into mime types.
