GhostRecon Breakpoint is an open world military shooter. If you have played Wildlands, then you should be right at home. It is an incredibly huge game with a breathtaking map, solid gameplay, and amazing enemy bases/locations. But it also has an extreme amount of bugs on launch, no region percentage tracker on the map hud, and a very very mediocre story that seemed almost like an after thought. But thankfully the achievement list is not very difficult and you can get every achievement in a little over half the time it took to do wildlands. None of the achievements are missable and there are no difficulty related ones. So you can play one easiest setting. I rated it a 3/10 because there was not one achievements that was even slightly hard. It will take roughly 35-45 hours to complete depending on how much time you spend exploring. You also can avoid almost every single side quest if you please. They are orange colored quest markers. With all that said, lets dive in!
First your gunna wanna play through the story while grabbing loot and leveling up. It is decently long so you will get pretty geared up and alot of xp. While going through the story, you also wanna keep an eye out for intel symbols on your mini map. Every time you investigate one, it will reveal the location of a weapon or attachment etc. Then it will put a little blue dot on your map showing you where to go. Collect as many of those as you can to save time on the clean up.
Faction missions are like daily requests that reset around midnight there are 8 new missions everyday with 2 of them being elite missions. Just do 8 in one day, and 5 elite missions total. They are usually quicker and easier than story or sidequests.
Luckily these are extremely easy! I hate pvp achievements, so this was fine by me. Literaly just get a kill with all four classes and win one match. It took me 3 matches and about 45 mins. Easy enough! Moving on!
There are only 3 types of collectibles to get in this game. There are 8 Carillons to find, 40 weapon blueprints, and 30 attachments to get the 3 achievements linked to them. Not very hard but a little time consuming.
The misc achievements are all very easy to get and you most likely will get some if not all while doing the story. If you missed any, check the guide below or check on youtube for the individual one and shouldnt take to long. You dont have to worry about any of these because all enemies respawn.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint may have a lot of problems at launch and a lot of changes from wildlands, some for the better and some for the worst. But overall this is a very enjoyable game with lots of content and would make an awesome completion especially if you have done wildlands. With the decently easy list, I hope to see you Ghosts again!
You can do this as soon as you reach the main hub area, just go to the ghost war pvp guy and select the "military past" dialog option. Do not skip through it, let it play out. If you did skip and it didnt pop. Just talk to him again.
There are 4 classes to choose from, tho I insist you do this with the Panther class. It is for sure the easiest. Avoid the medic, because it has challenges will have to be done with another player. The panther class is mostly sniping and with any of the range perks. They are all fairly easy. You can check your progress by highlighting over the class emblem in the pause menu. You can also pin it to your hud while your working on it.
High-end level gear is purple with 3 stripes. Once you find a purple piece for weapons and gear, put it all on at the same time. Once your about gear level 100+, purple stuff drops non stop from enemies. Quick note, you cannot equip legendary yellow gear for this. It has to be all purple gear only.
This will come naturally with play, They usually start dropping around level 90-100 for the first one. And drop like candy around level 150. I had around 30-40 legendary weapons by the end of the game.
To upgrade a weapon to mark 3, you first need to purchase the perks to access mk 2 and mk 3. They will cost a total of 6 perk points to unlock. Then customize any weapons using the gunsmith from the start menu. You have to upgrade all 8 intermarks using material 3 times on a single weapon. Its actually very easy because you get material from dismantling weapons. And you get hundreds of weapons. Tho I would save it for later in the game because you might need to break down a couple legendary weapons for material depending on the weapon.
If you go into the gunsmith on any weapon, you can upgrade them using materials from dismantling weapons, you will get this simultaneously with "This one is mine" achievement since it takes 24 upgrades to get to Mark 3.
This will come naturally through just going for the completion. You get really good EXP for killing enemies. So if you haven't hit 30 by the end, just do a couple side quests or go into some big bases and kill everyone in site. But its extremely unlikely you will do any grinding for this.
The way I got this was to sell my old weapons and armor. I would max out my inventory all the time and then just go sell a hundred or so pieces and get 30-40k every time. Not only that but you will get well over 100k just from playing the story and looting bases. I got this about 15 hours in.
There are well over 30 attachments spread throughout the map. Every time you find and (i) symbol on your mini map, go investigate it. And almost every time it will get you the location of a weapon blueprint location or an attachments location. It will be marked blue on your map. You can also use your drone to identify all the ? mark locations on your map. Then highlight over them on the map and it will show you the exact loot that location has. Once you found 30, just go into the gunsmith on any weapon and change an attachment.
You have to unlock "Perk" skills, none of the passives count. Half of them are perk skills anyways and it clearly indicates "perk" on the skill itself. It will take a total of 10 skills points for this.
This will come naturally, the later half of the story has a lot more drones. And all drones count, land and air. If you by chance don't get this, their are tons of bases, especially on egg island that are drones only.
These are the teleport locations. You can get this easily by going to one, using your drone and identifying all the question marks, then go to a new area and use your drone again. You don't have to actually be there or stand on one. Just discover it with a drone or binoculars so its not a question mark anymore.
These are all over the map. Plants and rock etc. You will see plants all over the map, just walk over them to collect them. The rocks you most likely will get by accident from just walking around. But their are dozens of natural resources. So this will come naturally, but if it doesn't. Their is a perk that will show resources on your mini map.
This is simple because you don't even have to set foot on the provinces. You can just get a helicopter and fly over each province. You will see a notification on the bottom of your screen that says discovered.
This will come naturally, every time you find a clue as to where someone is or what to do next for missions by interrogating or investigating. They all count. It unlocked about halfway through the campaign for me.
There are 8 carillons spread throughout the map. There is nothing that indicates whether you have seen them or not. So I would stare at them for a few good seconds and then pop a few rounds into them for safe measure. But I had no problem unlocking them. Here is a video guide to find them.
There are well over 40 weapons blueprints spread throughout the map. Every time you find an (i) symbol on your mini map, go investigate it. And almost every time it will get you the location of a weapon blueprint location or an attachment location. It will be marked blue on your map. YOu can also use your drone to identify all the ? mark locations on your map. Then highlight over them on the map and it will show you the exact loot that location has. Once you have 40, go to the shop at marias and craft 5. You can keep track of your blueprints in the mission select menu.
This is technically story related, you have to kill one of these near the end of the game to progress the mission. But you can find them at most of those high level outpost that are red on your map. I would insist on avoiding them and just fight the one in the mission. As they are hard to kill, aim for the red? orange lights on the side and the ball that shoots the rockets on the top.
Go into a match and choose whatever class you want, get a kill, then change class. Ghost War consists of 2 rounds and you can change your class after every round. Shouldn't be too hard even for people that are bad at pvp. This also can be obtained in private with a boosting partner!
Once you talk to Schultz in Erewhon and Hidori in south cape. You will unlock 8 missions a piece on the mission menu. But only 4 are missions and 4 are support. You have to do the FACTION MISSIONS. 4 for Schultz and 4 for Hidori. They are usually quick and easy unless they are elite. Do 8 in one day before the reset and your good to go.
You will notice while playing the faction missions that some are titled elite. Schultz and Hidori have one each day. So you can do 2 a day. They reset every 24 hours. You cannot just replay one 5 times. I tried lol.
Rockets are a consumable item in this game. Once you unlock them, just purchase them from the shop. Set them to you item wheel. Find a group of 2 bad guys and fire away. Should be super easy as they group up all over the place.
This does not need to be in a row. You have to stealth kill all 3 sometime throughout the game while in stealth. So just sneak up to them and assassinate them. There are perks that you can increase your stealth so they don't notice you sneaking up to them. The breacher has a sideway arrow above them. The rocket gunner has a rocket symbol above them and they come up more often later in the game. And sniper has site symbol.
