This innovative, enhanced design offers a double-hinged magnifier to provide easy positioning of the magnifier in the operating room. The latest modification to the popular Osher Sterile Field Magnifier is designed to offer more flexibility in viewing delicate instrument tips. It is also designed to facilitate adjustments of phaco sleeves and I&A handpieces, or even loading IOLs into injectors in the operating room.

The explorē 8 is a touchscreen portable magnifier that is ideal for anyone with vision loss who needs an electronic reading aid for magnifying documents. With a magnification of up to 30X, it is perfect for small tasks and reading at home or on the go. The 8.0-inch screen and compact design make this portable digital video magnifier the easiest to transport and use everywhere.

Lightweight and powerful, the explorē 8 is ideal for active people looking for a large screen and optimal portability to maintain their lifestyle. This magnifier features two 21-megapixel cameras: one for document reading at 15 cm (or less), and a second to see clearly at distances for things like street and store signs. You can also save your favorite images and view them on a large TV screen.

The explorē 8 boasts the largest screen in the smallest package. Although smaller, lighter, and more affordable than most 7-inch magnifiers, it provides a screen more than 30% larger that also delivers unmatched image quality. With its superior ergonomics and long-distance viewing, explorē 8 has the power to help you indoors and out.

Hello, all. Does an have any experience with this magnifier? Especially on the M10M? I e used the Leica diopters before and have fairly negative experience with them. I found that if I held the viewfinder to my eye too long, the temperature difference would cause the glass to fog. Also, I found that they tend to unscrew and fall off too. I was hoping the LLL mag might be better. Any thoughts?

You are likely seeing one of the drawbacks of a magnifier. They magnify problems as well. it may be that the lens is not calibrated properly but it also may be that your eye condition does not lend itself to correction by magnification.
the best thing to do is to use the correct diopter. I am surprised that you managed to lose them. In over forty years of M use I never saw one unscrew itself. Tighten them down properly. Use one of those handy little wrenches if you cannot manager to by hand.

As I say, it makes me wonder about the cause as I never had that experience on over a dozen of M cameras in more than forty years and only rarely saw this complaint on the forum. As for fogging, I only saw that in extremely adverse conditions, like tropical rain forests and then it was the viewfinder itself, not the diopter. Somehow they must not have been screwed down completely due to some problem with the thread.

I have third party 1.35x magnifier with diopter correction and it is permanently attached to either M240 or M246, works like a charm, never unscrews, to avoid affecting diopter correction I have electrical socket rubber grommet attached, it prevents spinning the adjustment ring it also acts as rubber bump. I can envisage LLL magnifier to be prone to inadvertent diopter changes, will find out eventually.

Checked it on my M240P and M246 with 50, 75 and 90mm lens, RF focus is spot on with both cameras. I feel cameras got new lease of life as suddenly I can see what I am doing, always thought that I was the weakest link in RF process.

Only shortcoming perhaps is lack of magnifier pouch as one gets with Leica magnifier, that small item exceeds serious brand premium. Instead the LLL magnifier comes with metal screw cap, nice touch but not really necessary.

As to fog, for people who claim never to have experienced it, yes, it's real. It's just condensation that happens when the glass is colder and dryer than the environment (or the eye pressed up against it). Is this happening by bringing a camera out of an dry, air-conditioned environment into the Florida air?

With the Leica diopters, it would happen when I held the viewfinder to my eye for more than a few seconds. As I recall, this would happen in all circumstances, indoors or out. As for ambient humidity, well, I do live in Miami. Even on cool days the humidity never drops below 60 and is usually much higher.

The mag came w an attached rubber eyepiece and a replacement one in a small baggie. The baggie also held the adapter for the M10 viewfinder. Really, no instructions are necessary as I easily mounted the mag to my M10.

I was also trying to replicate the m3 finder as much as possible. I'm considering pickup up a 1.25x but the external 5cm Leica finder is quite nice, and very bright, although again the framelines are very close to the edge for me. I have deep set eyes though.

Hello!

We have recently upgraded our app from Xamarin to Maui. We also discontinued the SketchEditor in favor of the new GeometryEditor.

While doing so we have noticed, that the Magnifier on our MapView no longer works in combination with the GeometryEditor. In Xamarin with the SketchEditor this worked (although sometimes a bit strange).
Now, when I let go of the map after a long press resulting in a magnifier, I do not create a vertex.

I have not found any Event, where I could intercept the magnifier. I have tried "GeoViewHolding", but that gets triggered on hold and not on release.

Is there a way to restore this feature or was this discontinued and now has to be done manually? If the latter, any idea how?

This is a new behavior with the magnifier and the GeometryEditor. To add a vertex, you tap to do a rough placement, then you can tap and hold to drag it around with the magnifier to adjust its position. So put another way: It still works with the new geometry editor, but only while moving existing vertices. Due to a lot of new functionality in the geometry editor that original behavior would have gotten in the way.

The lightweight 85x85x60mm magnifier comes with four white LED lights featuring three levels of brightness, 4x the magnification for easy and thorough inspection of robotic instrumentation, as well as an on/off switch and a Micro-USB charging cable. The magnifier is available for individual purchase.
