There is a polarization between the beautiful experiences of being a healer and the oppressive, tragic and often horrific experiences that healers have had, particularly in western and colonial cultures in the last millennium.
The echoes of these traumatic lifetimes and events, the judgements and projections, are carried in our subtle body. They vibrate as we start to move toward our healer nature. There, I imagine, millions of healers stop moving forwards in a time on this planet when we are desperate to heal. Where the earth itself is desperate to heal.
So, here I use Spirit Magic tools, such as Past Life Healing and Trauma Reversal, to clear the pain and terror, to resolve and process the past life experiences so that they can feel safe to reclaim who they are.
Everybody is unique but what I have seen repeatedly is the enormous relief and falling away of constriction, unbidden waves of terror, and an unmitigated joy at being able to return to who you really are. Returning to incredibly valuable and precious gifts that you have the joy to play with and discover and allow to lead you forward into life. You fully come back into the relationship with who you are as a healer and who you are as a soul. A soul that has been a healer, has chosen to come to this planet and be a healer through many lifetimes, is of a high frequency; an exquisitely designed, intangible conduit of things greater than themselves.
Hi Anni, I love that you are so at ease with being a healer, and your healer nature, a power, a blessing and I send joyous congratulations! I am glad you are in loving service to our beloved companions, animals, horses, dogs and nature. They are such a joy to support and receive so deeply.
These words, are ones I needed to write as my heart is finally able to grieve over the last week of sorrow, & uncertainty that has happened around our city. They are also words that remind me of endurance, and strength. And they are words, that I hope inspire you too. They certainly are not the words and images I would usually use for Earth Day, but they are the ones, that come from my heart right now.
Our wonderful Creator, knew we needed this earth. It is where we are able to connect to a sense of wonder, and awe. Experiencing the earth allows us to free our imaginations and inspires us to sing, paint, photograph, write, run, play ball, ski, climb trees, etc.
Nature is a messenger of the Spiritual World and a place where each of us can connect with the Divine, who I call LOVE. I also believe deeply that the Divine lives in each of us: and each of us can transform the world and people with the light and LOVE that dwells inside us. I share spiritual writings with you, with the hope that the words and images awaken something sacred in you. I believe each of us can offer blessing, so my writings are my blessings to you. My days are spent with my three children, my husband and my cat. I was a Hospital Chaplain for many years before staying home with my kids. I have a Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry and Spirituality. Blessings to you today and always.
Seventeen-year-old Kiva Meridan is a survivor. For ten years, she has worked as the healer in the notorious death prison, Zalindov, making herself indispensable. Kept afloat by messages of hope from her family, Kiva has one goal and one goal only: stay alive.
The queen is sentenced to the Trial by Ordeal: a series of elemental challenges against the torments of air, fire, water, and earth, assigned to only the most dangerous of criminals. Aware the sickly queen has little chance of making it through the Trials alive, Kiva volunteers to take her place. If she succeeds, both she and the queen will be granted their freedom.

I enjoyed the setting and the book a lot more than you did. However, I felt so similarly to you about the last part, and think you hit the nail on the head about the ending. It was as though everything i thought of her is a lie. Are we supposed to mistrust her now? I was so confused because her internal dialogue that we witnessed all throughout made no sense in light of the ending, almost as though the ending was tacked on.
The Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education has offered a variety of courses and workshops in earth magic and medicine over the last 17 years in Vermont, Massachusetts, Hawaii, and now California.
Bekki has trained a core group of advanced shamanic practitioners to teach their introductory shamanic course, Fundamentals of Shamanism. She continues to teach a year-long shamanic apprenticeship that evolved from their two-week advanced shamanic training that Crow taught with her for many years. She also very occasionally ordains associate clergy. All candidates for the ministerial training must have completed her shamanic apprenticeship or the two-week shamanic intensive taught by both she and Crow.
Dragon Waters, home to Bekki and Crow and the Church for over 3 decades, has passed to one of our long-time advanced students and very dear friend, and will continue to function as the sanctuary it became under their stewardship. It will also continue to host some of the events they have facilitated over the years, and to be a welcome respite and retreat for friends and students. Watch the Schedule page for more updates.
Thanks to all who have supported the work of the Church for the last 30+ years, and especially to the Athens Shamanic Drumming Circle who continue to meet weekly. They provided needed support and love to Crow in his last illness.
In June 2007, Crow and Bekki presented a paper at the 8th conference of the International Society for Shamanistic Research, titled Revivalist Shamanic Practice in Non-Indigenous Communities in the US. It details work done by us and our advanced students, and discusses shamanism and shamanic healing as an inherent human process that is natural and inevitable in all human cultures, including our own.
We offer many workshops in varied areas of shamanic practice, and additional learning opportunities in the shamanic arts, energy healing, divination, ministry, and pastoral counseling. Advanced students may choose to go on to apprentice under Rev. Bekki.
We are honored to offer a variety of healing modalities to our students and clients, including soul retrieval, extraction, deposession, bodywork, and energy healing. No previous experience with shamanism is required to schedule healing sessions.
From weekly drumming circles to weddings to house blessings, we are experienced ceremonialists known for our ability to honor your needs for celebration and incorporate them into a well-formed and crafted ritual which will communicate effectively with Spirit and with your community.
It is with great sadness that I inform friends and associates, and other interested individuals, that Crow Swimsaway passed from this earth plane on April 7, 2018. Crow enjoyed phenomenal health for most of his 81 years, maintaining the vigor of a much younger person. but contracted an inflammatory lung condition in late 2017, which worsened over the winter. In early March he was hospitalized with the Ohio Veterans Administration, and did not recover.
I will continue the work of the Church. Dragon Waters, our beloved home for over 3 decades, which has hosted many of our church functions, is in the process of becoming home to one of our long-time students and dear friend, and will continue to function as the sanctuary it became under our stewardship. It will also continue to host some of the events we have facilitated over the years, and to be a welcome respite and retreat for friends and students.
Elven Power of Self-healingThere are many documented examples of Elves surviving wounds which would kill humans, or exhibiting remarkable powers and speed of healing and recovery. This is most true of the early Elves of the First Age, and of the Noldor, the High-elves, who are said to have greater power.
...the blade seemed to melt, and vanished like a smoke in the air, leaving only the hilt in Strider's hand. 'Alas!' he cried. 'It was this accursed knife that gave the wound. Few now have the skill in healing to match such evil weapons. But I will do what I can.'
Briefly Strider told of the attack on their camp under Weathertop, and of the deadly knife. He drew out the hilt, which he had kept, and handed it to the Elf. Glorfindel shuddered as he took it, but he looked intently at it.
Glorfindel first gathers information and investigates the weapon. He commands it to be kept. Either he thinks another healer may discover more information, or he thinks that Elrond, like Aragorn, may be able to do something magical with the hilt to affect the injury.
While Gimli and the two younger hobbits kindled a fire of brush- and fir-wood, and drew water, Aragorn tended Sam and Frodo. Sam's wound was not deep, but it looked ugly, and Aragorn's face was grave as he examined it. After a moment he looked up with relief.
He sat up and then he saw that Frodo was lying beside him, and slept peacefully, one hand behind his head, and the other resting upon the coverlet. It was the right hand, and the third finger was missing.
Thereupon the herb-master entered. 'Your lordship asked for kingsfoil, as the rustics name it, he said; or athelas in the noble tongue, or to those who know somewhat of the Valinorean. . .'
Now Aragorn knelt beside Faramir, and held a hand upon his brow. And those that watched felt that some great struggle was going on. For Aragorn's face grew grey with weariness; and ever and anon he called the name of Faramir, but each time more faintly to their hearing, as if Aragorn himself was removed from them, and walked afar in some dark vale, calling for one that was lost.
