I'm trying to use universal recovery to re-store a locked down PC program onto my laptop, but i need to load the driver files (INF files) onto the software, the OS system is XP prof. The drivers with the PC are all on wizards and I can't tell which inf files are needed to pull them from my computer.

I am urgent in need of Dell Latitude D620 Network driver. I have been downloading almost all drivers that are present at Dell download section but in vain :(....my laptop show that message......intel Proset/wireless Wi-Fi 12.4.3.11 driver is not installed.

Okay guys I really hope i'm not sticking my foot in my mouth here, but i haven't been able to recreate the flicker on the machine i recently reformatted. Re installed a fresh Win 7 Ultimate 64, loaded the minimum drivers, network, free fall sensor, control point, and then i hit the windows updates. Windows found a video card update along with 100 other updates. After updating and restarting it now has the NVIDIA NVS 3100M driver version 8.16.11.8974 (that's not the format of driver version i'm used to seeing, usually its xxx.xx or something of the sort) and the driver date is 4/16/2010. I have had the laptop on now for a few hours, letting the monitor go to sleep for short periods of time and long periods of time, upon wake i have yet to see a flicker. Oh yeah also im running BIOS A11 right now, im going to update to A12 and hope for the best.

I have mostly good things to say about dell laptops. This is the only real issue i have had with them, aside form the normal this and that which is associated with all technology. However i much prefer the E6520 and E6530's to the E6500 and E6510 series because the cooling seems to be much better, especially in the 6530's. However the 6500's and 6510's have a much better bottom panel access method, love the one screw that doesn't actually come out of the panel.

Right now i'm in the process of jumping through the hoops of the dell tech. Before we go to a new motherboard on this laptop, he is having me do the following, after having replaced the screen. Back the bios down from A12, to A11, then to A09, back to A11. then back up to A12. He says BIOS A11 and A12 'repaired' the screen flicker issue, so far i have yet to see it happen.

I have experienced the flicker with Dell's most recent driver for this laptop, and NVIDIA's most recent 3100M driver. Perhaps next i should try some of NVIDIA's beta drivers, or else some older legacy ones. We will see

OH one thing i forgot. I took the HDD out of a flickering laptop (i5 with 720 screen), and put it into an E6510 that didn't flicker (i7 with 1080 screen) and that laptop wouldn't flicker. I put the i7's HDD into the i5 laptop and that one still flickered. So i guess that eliminates my driver issue, and makes it sound like a BIOS thing. I already tried all the chip set drivers also.

I use MDT to do our installs, and have it detecting models and applying drivers I specify. I grabbed the latest CAB for the E6510 here http:/ Opens a new window/en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/2065.dell-driver-cab-files-for-enterprise-client-os-deployment.aspx but made sure to replace the video driver with Nvidia's 266.58. Also made a note to never, ever change that. I haven't had any more issues with ours so far.

My dell sound sometimes disappears. I need to restar PC or do steps:playback select speakers, configure and press test . Maybe it notebook motherboard problem?
My laptop is new what I have to do?

have you tried the free dell audio drivers scan (download driver update tool link)? The report will list the required drivers which you can then either search for online or download using the driver update tool

hi, i just updated my dell inspiration 15 laptop and the sound is not working after i updated it.
this is the 2nd time the first time was in august after i updated my laptop and i ended up by taking it to the shop ! and i bought a new one and now this is the same!!
what is the solution?!!

then thought of uninstalling all the audio drivers and the re-installing. So downloaded latest IDT audio driver from dell site, uninstalled all audio drivers and then restarted computer, then installed newly downloaded driver, again restarted and bingo. Now works fine.
Worked for me (Dell Inspiron 15 (N5010))
