Driver Hp 8620

Isee the printer on the network, can send it and print via email and other network PCs however one of the PCs keeps showing "Driver Unavailable" even after installing and uninstalling over and over again. Please advise.

Our HP 8620 suddenly started having problems connecting with our win10 computer. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing multiple times. I've tried every solution I can find. It shows the printer, but says the driver is unavailable. I shows the installation is complete, but it is unable to connect, either wirelessly or by USB. Help!!

Finally got mine fixed when I found another forum discussion re same thing on a laptop and someone said they found there was a problem with one of the recent windows update. Uninstalled that, reinstalled the HP drivers, and it works. Now trying to keep the update from reinstalling.

Called and spoke with Canon support. After they ran through a few troubleshooting ideas, including trying to install the basic driver/scanner driver from Canon (Print Driver and Scan Utility Installer Ver.1.04 (Windows)) the rep told me that I would need to contact Microsoft given the error that kept appearing after my attempts to install (The program is not supported by the computer).

Our engineers have made their internal research and find out that the reason why the issue with the driver is happening is due to incompatibilities, since the drives package is designed for Intel and not designed specifically for ARM architecture.

This was helpful, thank you. MSFT's scanner app is pretty basic. I've tried the VueScan and it looks pretty nice with tons of features. The one thing that I wish it had was the ability to scan from the printer/scanner to the PC (like the Canon software allowed). Regardless, this is a good solution and I'm grateful for the tip.

I lost the ability to print so I uninstalled and reinstalled the 8620 printer. Now I get the message "Driver is unavailable." I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times without success. I am still able to scan but I am no longer able to get the page that displays the 8620 functionality. It just wants to reinstall whenever I go to start and select the HP Officejet Pro 8620 button.

Actually I have an 8610. tried to uninstall and reinstall on the same computer and the same network. Now it wont take an installation - wirelessly, wired, or with the original disc. Any ideas? I've restarted everything including the router. the printer is setup correctly.

I then ran the HP Print & Scan Doctor to look for the scanner and there were multiple scanner errors. It asked me to select a printer and I selected the 8620 Network. Next it asked me to reboot and afterwards the Scanner test passed on the doctor and it worked.

However, now I need access to the scanner from the computer. I used to get it by selecting the HP Officejet Pro 8620 in the start menu. That used to give me the "HP Printer Assistant" menu. But now that brings up a screen to run DeviceSetup.exe. I'm thinking that this may be how my problems started.
