High voltage battery repair takes place at module level.
In the process, the defective module of the high voltage battery is replaced with a new module.
Before the new module is installed, the module must be brought up to the voltage level of the remaining modules of the high voltage battery.
To do this, the module has to be charged or discharged.
The module balancer is used in conjunction with the diagnosis tester to balance the voltage of high voltage battery modules during guided fault finding.
The module balancer works autonomously. Connection of the module balancer to ODIS will take place at a later date.
Initial use: Volkswagen e-Golf! 2014>
The application of the module balancer is described in the software for the module balancer VAS 6910. See also the handbooks for VAS 6910.
Technical data:
Connection to PC:
It requires VAS DSS Manager Software to connect to the diagnostic laptop. Software is available in ServiceNet (Audi/VW) > Workshop Equipment > Tool Information > Tool Software Updates > AVL_DiTEST.zip
The signs of powertrain control module failure are often sinister, and should be taken seriously; the longer the problem persists, the more likely your vehicle is to eventually encounter substantial damage, or become unreliable to drive. Here are some warning signs of PCM failure that you should be aware of in your Audi:
It is most important that your Audi specialist does not mistake the symptoms of PCM failure for another common performance issue. For instance, if your engine begins stalling or misfiring, a technician might automatically relate the problem to an airflow issue or oxygen sensor failure based upon their own experience. The first step in fixing the problem is bringing it to an Audi specialist for a thorough diagnostic inspection.

Need help on High beam not working. Replaced 3 modules on my headlight that was damaged by water and discovered that only the low beam is working. The High beam and cornering lights are not working & diagnose to be fault code 03641 & 03645 as right & left headlamp power output stage- no signal/communication. Any help?
Hi, I don't think that the ballast modules have any effect on the high beam as high beam is commanded by the shutter systems within the headlight unit, therefore think it could well be the headlight range control module which if replaced has to be re coded to the car.
Hi get yourself a copy of VCDS and the Ross Tech cable that goes with it, the start up cost can be high, software, cable, suitable laptop loaded with windows XP but if you intend to keep the car it gives you an explanation of the code and the O.E. number of the offending part plus the ability to code in the new part, you don't need an Audi dealer.
Thank you for your response. I've gotten a used headlight range control module from eBay with same part number as mine. I will just transfer from my old part the long coding & others to this new used one I got then try it & see. Thank you once again
Drivers side headlight all lights working, but the headlight Range Control, the auto test up and down movement normally happening each time the car is started, remains stationary at the top level. Hoping further drying out will sort this out?
Wheel off, wheel arch under cover removed, ballast unit for the Xenon bulb removed, it was full of water, seeing the amount of crud and corrosion around the two terminal blocks this had been building up for some time.
Replaced 30A fuse, Lights in off position, Started car, DRL's working, then tested the other lights in the headlight, indicator working, sidelights working and fog light working, (Had not reinstalled the Xenon bulb and its ballast at this time).
Bought a genuine OEM replacement Mitsubishi Ballast from Xenons4u, 55.98 including delivery which I will be fitting later this week, after I check where the water might be getting in/breather vents clear, etc.,
I'm in exactly the same position. This surely is a manufacturing / design issue.
I've got a garage telling me to replace the headlight with a brand new one and replace all the modules its going to be about 1600 to 1700
For a design, that If I'm right will only fail again in the near future.
After weeks I've finally managed to get every single drop of moisture out of the headlight unit itself and now I keep bags of rechargable silica gels in there to absorb any left over moisture but still no main beam and an occasionally faulty DRL / Side light.
After the first two months of ownership totally wiping out my savings I'm not keen to blast another 1700 on the car so soon.
What modules need replacing in total?

These modules have two mirrored versions, Module H has a black plug and Module J has a white plug. The pinout is different for each module. The battery will be shipped with a voltage harness. The last picture is a pinout provided by user VintageVolts on this forum, there is a lot of other very useful information there as well.
A powerful battery that is easy to handle and easier to mount. The Audi E-Tron module makes for a universal battery for more than one reason. The Aluminum shell provides protection to the pouch cells. The thermal properties of the case make it easy to whisk away heat from the module as well. The battery module had thermal pads on the bottom of the module and was bolted to a cooling plate. Depending on your application, cooling might not be necessary, but if it is, this is one of the easier modules to cool. These modules are some very high powered batteries that can power any of your applications. The small form factor allows for a variety of different voltage configurations, and makes it possible to fit batteries in space confined projects.
With this CETE Automotive active suspension control module you have the opportunity to use the full range of your air suspension and control it according to your wishes using the factory drive select controls. Each drive select suspension mode can have a unique ride height set by the user by the millimeter, lower, higher or stock by using the smartphone app. The new updated system uses Bluetooth to connect to a smartphone app so no switching wifi networks is needed to access the controller. No additional buttons need to be fitted to the interior of the car and installation is discrete. The show mode function allows the car to be lowered to the maximum level with the touch of button in the smartphone app. The full drive select system stays intact along with all other wireless and Bluetooth functions within the car.
We repair all Bosch modules except the 5.0/5.2 units (which use 5.3 coding with ESP). 5.0 modules are found in some 2001-2002 Audi S4s are and are located under the rear seat (Part Number 8E0614111T, 0265202401). The part under the hood is shown in the picture above, but it is actually not the ABS control module. The control module is under the rear seat (separate from the ABS pump). Because of the remote location of the computer control circuitry in the 5.0 applications, these modules fail far less often. If your Audi has ESP and does not have a 5.7 module, it cannot be repaired. We currently only repair integrated units (where the control module and pump are located together).
We are a team of electrical engineers and technicians who remanufacture automotive electronics. When your ABS light comes on, or your temperature controls stop working we can help. If the mechanic quotes you a high replacement cost, or you just can't find the part anymore check out our website for a low cost, sustainable alternative. You can remove the part and ship it to us yourself or ask your mechanic to do it for you. Still have questions? Give us a call, we're happy to help!
I have used module master on 2 occasions for my 2004 Chevy Suburban. The first time for the ABS module and the second time for the instrument cluster. In both cases both were repaired and returned quickly, both worked perfectly. I recommend module master without any reservations!
You folks have found the right blend of customer service and quality workmanship at a reasonable price. American trained craftsmen are the only way to go for us in this segment of the auto parts repair industry.
My motorcycle ABS unit quit. Bought a used one off the web, sent to Module Master, they sent it back with the note that it was in perfect working order with NO Charge. I installed it and it works! How wonderful to experience old school customer service, honesty, and integrity. I am sending the faulty one for repair today! Awesome! Wonderful!
