If your solution does not have a driver package, you can manually create one in Visual Studio by choosing New > Project from the File menu. For examples of how to create a driver package, see Writing Your First Driver.
To manually create a new driver package for an existing solution that does not already have one, use the "Driver Install Package" template. Select File->New->Project. Then select Windows Drivers > Package > "Driver Install Package" from the dialog. Then in the Solution drop-down, select Add to solution and select Ok.
You can add multiple drivers and their packages to your solution. Similar to "Modifying an existing driver package" you can create a new driver solution, or add a reference to an existing one. If your solution already contains a driver package, you can modify it to reference additional driver projects in the solution.
If these steps did not resolve your issue, you may want to ask someone you know for help, or you may want to contact the device manufacturer. You can also use the Microsoft Customer Support Services Web site to find other solutions to your problem. I already deleted my whole temp folder myself before I even made this topic. I didn't mean to post that picture along with my comment. I'm just going to reinstall windows when I get my new SSD tomorrow.
Pay close attention when installing 3rd-party programs. It is important that you pay attention to the license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers you Custom or Advanced installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed.
Take great care in every stage of the process and every offer screen, and make sure you know what it is you're agreeing to before you click "Next".
Use a Standard user account rather than an administrator-rights account when "surfing" the web.

Dont remove your current login. Just use the new Standard-user-level one for everyday use while on the internet.
Do a Windows Update.
Make certain that Automatic Updates is enabled.

EDIT: I found a solution myself. Using the Win 11 Settings dialog, I clicked the "Add device" button...and it WORKED! I've become so accustomed to having to work my way around because the built-in Windows function fails, I didn't even think to try it. I'm cautiously optimistic about Windows 11 at this point, which is a pleasant surprise.
The way I have it set up is that my laserjet 1000 is plugged into a seperate old PC running windows 2000 with laserjet 1000 drivers loaded on it as its shared by various household computer ranging from Macbook to XP and now windows7.
After working on this for a while, I've pieced together some solutions offered by other frustrated HP customers. Below is a solution that will work for Windows 7 64-bit clients printing to a Windows 7 32-bit shared LaserJet 1000 printer:
I have same computer and cannot get the solution for the printer to work, It seems the installation of drivers of the konica printer is my issue, which ones do i use? a more step by step instruction may be what i need. But, can't get it to work now. I have my hp laser 1000 conected to a gateway running xp through usb and it shares fine with all xp computers but now none of the windows 7 will print to gateway computer.
This project was inspired by Bâshrat the Sneaky who started the Driverpacks project which, if you didn't already know, is absolutely fantastic. When you include them in your unattended Boot & OS re-installation DVD they will install the drivers for your standard hardware components that you normally have to do yourself after the OS has installed. This means a computer is completely ready to go after using a DVD with these driverpacks on them to install your OS. Well, since i'm about to release probably the last version of the Unattended Boot CD (UBCD) for Windows 98/98se i thought i'd make it extra special and in order for it to all work (especially for newer computers) the new UBCD needs to be able to function properly after the OS has finished installing, ie chipset drivers that tell the OS what all the new fangled hardware does is essential to be able to continue installing all of the other goodies contained in the new UBCD. Without a comparable project to Bâshrat's driverpacks, the UBCD won't work for everyone and the majority of these people will be the ones with better hardware (which they could still be using in 5 years). So, this only became obvious a few days ago when i was testing out on a K7 AMD AthlonXP 2600+ and it turned out i needed to install the chipset drivers for everything to work.
The main goal is to have the USERs video card properly installed before desktop loads. No other driver (IMHO) is as important due to the fact these can always be installed after setup finishes, whereas the some post-installation tasks like the post-installation wizard (WPI) needs more than 16 colors at 800 x 600 resolution.

Con(s):
Ads are displayed in several areas of the program. You find a driver update link in the main interface leading to a commercial offering to update system drivers, and two links to commercial backup solutions in the backup tab. On top of that, the installer is also listing adware offers.
I have been using DriverMax for quite some time now, and it is the best driver updater program I have seen. Free users can only download 2 drivers per day which is not bad. It gives you the option to create a restore point before each update, so that in case something does not work as expected, you can roll it back which can be down within the program, with windows restore, or by accessing the device properties in device manager.
I want to share this experience with driver pack solution. I formatted my laptop (i have 2 laptops), one with windows 7 and another linux mint. I formatted and then installed windows XP. The chief concern was drivers. I downloaded the driverpack, i have selected only for XP and downloaded. It automatically checked the laptop model no and configuration and installed chipset, video, audio, lan and wireless. However just bluetooth was missing.
To some extent, you are write martin..if driver is supposed to get updated, it should provide version no and changelog, which is very hard to find by. Overall i like driverpack for hassle free installation
I apologize if this has been recently covered. But, I've searched quite a bit (over the last 2 hours) and I keep winding up on the same threads from 4 years ago, nothing more recent is coming up & those solutions are not working.
I have tried all possible methods of installing the CH340 driver, and although by some methods both the installer and windows say "installed successfully", and the device appears proper in the Device Manager "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM4)", the Arduino IDE always refuses to communicate with it. On occasion, Windows gives a notification that "driver not installed successfully" and the reason is "driver not found". On other occasions, Windows says driver installed correctly. I get the dreaded "avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout" from the IDE using any method. I reboot windows after every "install".
Change User Interface under Scanner Options from Hide Scanner's Native Interface to Show Scanner's Native Interface. Show Scanner's Native Interface uses the same scanning method previous versions of Acrobat. It lets the scanner's driver operate the scanner. Hide Scanner's Native Interface attempts to use the twain driver directly. It can eliminate error messages, especially when you are scanning multiple pieces of paper. If none of these solutions work, then it's sometimes necessary to use a workaround. See solution 8 under General troubleshooting tasks, or contact your scanner manufacturer for an updated driver.
