assault-case-comes-to-a-close-after-2-years
The case of the 32-year old Pleasantville man who fled police after
sexually assaulting a woman more than two years ago has come to a close,
Pleasantville Police announced Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Police reported the arrest and conviction of Oswaldo Jacinto-Ordonez, a
32-year old illegal Guatemalan immigrant who was wanted in connection of
the attempted rape of a 28-year old Pleasantville resident on Aug. 9,
2011.
On May 9, I.C.E Agents located Jacinto-Ordonez in South Kingstown, Rhode
Island, living under an alias. He was taken into custody, waived
extradition, and was returned to New York to face prosecution.
Jacinto-Ordonez pled guilty to one count of attempted rape in the first
degree, a class C felony, and one count of strangulation in the second
degree, a class D felony. He will be sentenced on Jan. 14, 2014 to eight
years in state prison, along with 15 years of post-release supervision and
registered as a sexual offender.
I would like to thank our detectives, the Department of Homeland
Security, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency and the
Westchester County District Attorneys office for their combined
dedication in bringing this violent felon to justice, Pleasantville Chief
of Police Richard Love said.
Democrats sure seem to identify with immigrant sex offenders.
