http://www.myspace.com/lionelferbos
Lionel Ferbos was born in New Orleans in 1911 to a Creole family of
sheet metal workers. The oldest still active New Orleans jazz
musician, he played in the “Mighty Four” band with Harold Dejan,
leader of the Olympian Brass Band. In the jazz revival he joined the
New Orleans Ragtime Orchestra and played in the “One Mo’ Time” show.
He then became a regular at the Palm Court Jazz Cafe, where he
continues to play weekly. This six piece band will keep you swinging
from 9p.m. until 1a.m. at Michaul’s, 840 St Charles, in the CBD

music of a by gone era, but also a very individual sound.” (Peter
Loggins) Their new album “Six Feet Down” should be a part of your
music collection. This six piece band will give you swing and blues
from 1a.m. to 5a.m. at One Eyed Jacks, 615 Toulouse Street, in the

COTTON MOUTH KINGS
http://www.neworleanscottonmouthkings.com
“The self titled CD ‘the New Orleans Cotton Mouth Kings’ has been a
couple weeks now, and for many reasons I continue listening to it, if
not for pure pleasure, then to take notes on the concept of this
amazing band. The style of music alone is something to ponder, taste,
digest, and yes, relish in the after taste. I’ve heard members claim
the style as being ‘New Orleans Swing’, a description which I have
thought a lot about, drawing the only possible conclusion…I couldn’t
agree more!” (Peter Loggins) This six piece band will keep you
swinging from 10p.m. to 2a.m. at the Maison, 508 Frenchmen Street.
