FREE DANCE CLASSES & DAYLIGHT LIVE MUSIC SCHEDULE


Fleur de Lindy & French Quarter Fest Present: Social Dancing at the
French Quarter Festival! The French Market Traditional Jazz Stage will
feature classes in the following dances: 2nd Line, Charleston, Fox-
Trot, Swing, Traditional Jazz, and Lindy Hop. There will also be
select classes taught at the Kids Stage. Classes are taught by
professional dancers from NOLA Jitterbugs, Dancing Man 504, Dance
Quarter, and special guests.

Half-Hour, All-Level Dance Classes Proceed Every Band!!! 
All Classes Are Free and Open to the Public.

Chance Bushman & Amy Johnson, co-directors of NOLA Jitterbugs, are
dedicated to the strength and growth of the New Orleans' traditional
jazz and swing dance community. They perform with local bands, teach
classes, and organize events.

Darryl Young, aka Dancing Man 504, is a Charity Hospital baby, raised
in the Ninth Ward, New Orleans native. Young teaches 2nd Line Dance &
Culture to local and international youth groups and adults, and
performs 2nd Line Dance professionally with local bands.

Nathalie Gomes, originally from France, is a World Swing Dance
Champion and has repeatedly won every major U.S. swing dance title.
She is known for her gravity-defying aerials and has taught and
performed in more than 23 countries.

Peter Loggins is the foremost historian on American Jazz Dance. He is
credited for bringing back several jazz and swing dances he learned
from the original dancers of the 1920s. When at home in New Orleans
you can catch him playing washboard with several local bands.

Giselle Anguizola is a professional jazz dancer that has studied the
Cake-Walk, Black Bottom, Charleston, Breakaway, Lindy Hop, Balboa,
Shag, and Tap. She currently divides her time between projects in San
Diego and New Orleans.
