We hope that this portal would help you do your due-dilegence in case you are looking to buy property in Bangalore. The town planning maps have existed for a few decades now, but they've mostly not been complied with,  thanks to corruption, inefficiency & greed. 

A fellow software developer & I put together all the time & effort required to do this, in the interest of the City we care about so dearly. We're simply like a lot of other fellow citizens out there who've seen the destruction of Bangalore unfold over the past two decades and it is just that we decided to put some of our skills to better use through this pursuit. We hope to bring in some amount of balance by empowering the ultimate decision makers (buyers of properties) through this portal. You're right in thinking that my wishful thoughts are a little too far fetched, but I choose to take that in stride :)

This portal also offers a little information on pricing - the Govt. Guidance values, which may be taken as a yard stick to compare prices around.
