On behalf of We, the People I am delighted to invite you to the Citizen Cafe – a space for dialogue, reflection and learning on our role as citizens. The Cafe is part of a pan-India initiative called Constitution Connect with more than 20 Citizen Cafes taking place across 7 cities from 26th November (the day the constitution was enacted) to 26th January (the day it was enforced).
The first one in Gurgaon was yesterday at Costa Coffee, Sohna Road. We had nearly 30 citizens – young students, professionals, activists, senior citizens – all intently exploring the meaning and practice of our essential document of citizenship – the Preamble to the Constitution of India. There were many stories that were shared, examples of change, reflections on what more we need to do. And we had several people lingering after – exchanging ideas on improving sanitation, getting roads fixed, ensuring dignity at work...

If you want to experience the excitement and power of your own citizenship, come and join us for our next Citizen Cafe. Its the last one in December so do block your time.
