Greetings from We the People.
We have had a very exciting three months with a number of Citizen Cafes in the NCR region. At each Citizen Cafe we had vibrant discussions and thoughtful reflections. And we got in touch with a large number of citizens – all interested and concerned about the affairs of our democracy and State. A network of citizens has emerged and we are trying to keep in touch with all through our newsletters and emails.
A few of us thought it might be good idea to meet once in a month – to continue dialogue on critical issues concerning us as citizens and also to create a space where we can share our experiences on the various civic issues we are working on, seek help, offer help etc. For instance, a number of citizens have exchanged notes and emails on sanitation, education, streetlights and it would great to meet and take steps forward.
So, to put this into action, we are organising our first NCR Network Meeting.
And you are most cordially and warmly invited.
The meeting details are listed below:
Date: Saturday, 23rd March 2013
Time: 11:00am to 1:00pm
Location: School Of Inspired Leadership, Plot no. 76, Sector 44, Gurgaon 122003 (Landmark: Hotel Ramada)
The schedule of the meeting is:
- 11am to 12pm: Discussion and dialogue around a particular aspect of citizenship and governance. This time we have invited Mr. D. Sikri, Secretary, Ministry of Law, GOI to talk with us.
- 12pm to 1pm: Sharing experience and knowledge among network members on various civic and social issues they are working on
