All students will be required to perform a 45 second mini-presentation
on a memorable traveling experience they recently encountered. The
memorable experience can be positive, negative, strange, exciting,
etc., but must be presented in that fashion. The presentations will
be used to judge areas of strengths and weaknesses as it relates to
your public speaking skills. Questions will follow and note cards may
be used.

For my presentation I'm going to talk about how I got house arrested
in Iran because the officers at a navy base thought that my sister and
I were American spies. This was three years ago, not my last year
trip.

For my presentation, I will be talking about the week-long cruise to
Bermuda. In my opinion, this experience was extremely memorable
because it was a new experience for me, and it was also a vacation
where my friends, sister and I had more freedom and were able to
choose what we wanted to do and what we did not want to do. It was an
extremely positive experience for me and I enjoyed it a lot.

For my presentation, im going to talk about how i was attacked by a
monkey on an 8400 ft cliff, during my trip to Pakistan this past
summer. It started off as a nice day, and there were some monkeys
nearby. i crouched next to them for a picture, but then one of them
jumped at me. i kicked it away and slipped trying to get away from the
cliff. I got back to the car. ever since then, i have a slight hatred
toward that type of monkey

For my presentation i will talk about my trip to Utah with my cousins
this Christmas. The trip was very fun and it gave me the opportunity
to catch up with family that i hadn't seen for a while. I also met my
brother and cousins friend from California.

I'll be talking about my trip to Italy during the summer before my
freshman year. We stayed in a villa, went horseback riding, and
learned a lot about italian art and Ancient Rome. we also got lost for
a few hours in Venice. That was fun.

I'll be talking about how I spent my new years eve in Amsterdam
stranded in the streets because every road was filled with
firecrackers. It was very exciting and a totally different experience
than I am accustomed to at new years eve.

For my presentation, I am going to talk about my trip to Europe over
Winter Break. The first day we were in Rome, we went to eat at this
local coffee shop/convenience store and the guy at the counter didn't
know how to speak english. Because of miscommunication, all of us
ended up committing a sin.

Oh, and it was a rather strange experience that kind of ruined the
rest of our days in Rome and made us resent the Italian people.

For my presentation, I shall present story on my trip in South Africa
where we were walking towards Cape Point. There was a sign that said
beware of baboons. As I was walking up the path with a paper bag in my
hand, a baboon appears out of nowhere, snatches my bag, runs way, and
leaves me in a panic.

For my presentation I'm going to talk about my trip home from Martha's
Vineyard two years ago. We took the ferry home and there was a man-
overboard drill which ended up turning into a real man overboard
situation where three men were severely injured by our boat.

For my presentation I am going to talk about how on a kayak trip on
Jackson Lake my family and I had to assume a "lightening position." We
were on a very small island and there was a lightening storm, so just
incase the lightening hit the island, we stood in a stance protecting
us for half an hour. It was weird experience, but kind of cool too.

For my presentation. I am going to talk about my family trip to
Florida in the winter of 2008. It was the first time my family went to
Florida by car and in those 23 hours in the car we shared some laughs,
experiences, and a quest to keep my little sister from finding
"santa's presents" in the back fo the car.

For my presentation I will be talking about my trip to Africa
(Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa) with my Grandmother. I saw a
whole different part of the world and experienced an exotic and
beautiful part of Africa in the Okavango Delta in Botswana on a
wildlife safari.

I'll be talking about an Indian school trip I went on about four years
ago to the foothills of the Himalayas. While we were there, we learnt
how to cope with living in the wild, how to survive a "wilderness
orientation" program, and how to rappel. We also got to go whitewater
rafting on a 30 km course in the Ganges and shared some great times at
the party on the beach afterwards.

For my presentation i will be talking about how last summer my family
and I took a vacation to Playa del Carmen which is in the South of
Mexico. The vacation was a really cool experience becasue the resort
we were staying in was built around a jungle, so all of the walkways
to the rooms were through the jungle and there were all types of wild
animals walking around such as peacocks and monkeys. The monkeys would
roar really loudly in the morning and it would wake everyone up. Also,
the average temperature on the beach there was 40 degrees celcius
which is about 103 degrees fahenreit. It was so hot that we could not
stay on the beach for a long time because it was so hot.

I'm going to briefly describe a moment from my trip to Costa Rica this
past thanksgiving break. While driving on a road, we saw a man riding
by on a bicycle with a baby in a harness, a child on the handelbars, a
hacksaw in one hand, and a machette in the other. I will briefly
mention how this was memorable and made me greatful for being born in
a fortunate situation with a great lifestyle.

For my presentation I will be talking about the summer that I was
driving to my aunt's house at night from the airport in Washington and
we saw a huge grisly bear on the road. We were on a small dirt road
and had to wait for about ten minutes until it had moved far enough
away from the car for us to keep driving.
