I'm rebuilding my motor (Yamaha 9.9) since it had been in salt water and was on the hard for three years. Rebuilt the carburetor (it needed it) and rebuilt the water pump (which also needed it, had sand in it). All was going well until I added gear oil to lower unit. I filled it up and was getting some oil flowing out of some what look like weep holes that are located at the same elevation as the upper fill port. I'm thinking this is not a good thing and that I've got a bad seal somewhere. Anyone know anything about lower units and have any suggestions? Thanks - rob
