As rhodecode says that limit of users is 20 in the free version while the code is also in GPLv3. Is there still any version available which has no restrictions like 20 users max. I tried but unable to find any info on the site.

At Tue, 10 Sep 2013 10:08:25 -0700,
You can use the old version (1.7.2).

The amount of content in RhodeCode which falls under the Rhodecode
“Business Source” license and is original to RhodeCode (i.e., not a
copy of BSD or MIT licensed code) is really trivial. I am not a
lawyer, but the new rhodecode license situation is very problematic.

I would advise the community to fork RhodeCode as of 1.7.2 and
continue to maintain a real free/open-source version. RhodeCode is,
sadly, no longer free/open-source software.

best, Erik

Hi guys,

thanks for sharing your concerns. We did let the new licensing check by lawyers and it is not problematic :)

Instead, the new licensing helps us to finance the work on RhodeCode. Marcin and I are hiring now full-time developers and make RhodeCode into something really wonderful and outstanding. And with the new license it is still open and free for the majority of users and contributions automatically become GPLv3 after a while.

It would be great if we could have you on board at these great times, be it as contributor, or team member or whatever you would prefer.

If you have further questions, we can also arrange a phone call and I explain our plans and thoughts more in detail.

BTW: Please use https://rhodecode.com/help to get in contact with us, this group is deprecated now. Thanks!

Best regards,

Sebastian
