Pull Requests and Multiple Changesets

I have been looking back through the mailing list, and have seen several questions regarding the pull request workflow.  I am left with the understanding that the workflow ends at the "accept" state.  While I understand that having server-side merging is a goal, I was wondering if there might be another way to simplify the process in the meantime.  Specifically, I would like to write a script that would let me merge the list of changes in a pull request from the command line.  There does not appear to be an API for fetching the list of changes, however.  Does anybody have a suggestion for how I might accomplish this?
