Here is a collection — http://phys.uri.edu/~nigh/congresscantread/ — of the pandemic warnings. Congress and its Armed Services and Intelligence Committees in the House and Senate have systematically ignored the threats. Congress has only one priority: to spend more than 50% of the yearly discretionary budget on the care and feeding of war profiteers. In total, the spending adds up to more than a trillion dollars per year while government and the military continue to amplify the existential threats of the climate catastrophe and nuclear holocaust.
