RHIPE on Windows

Is RHIPE able to run on the Windows platform? Some people have
reported that they have managed to get Hadoop running successfully on
Windows without the help of Cygwin.

Assuming that it is possible to get Hadoop running natively on
Windows. Is it possible to build and configure RHIPE on Windows,
without the help of Cygwin? Is it possible to get RHIPE working with
the help of Cygwin?

Hi Adrian,

The way it is written (now), RHIPE communicates over standard error
and output. I have no experience
coding on Windows, and dont know if these work.
Also, there is some UNIX specific stuff in the R portion (though that
can be made cross platform).

In short, i wouldn't wait for a Windows version. I personally do not
use Windows.
