I think they started with 8, the old ones were named corporate and pro
and free and so. My 7 is still named Corporate...

Hi Doug,

FTPServerTools is correct - Bronze, Silver and Gold are the new
licenses as of the release of Serv-U 8. Older licenses will still
operate with the same features and options as they did previously in
Serv-U 8, so Serv-U Corporate Home licenses will operate as Home, etc.
Customers with Corporate licenses will also have access to the new
features of Gold offered in Serv-U 8 (custom HTTP logos, intermediate
certificate support, etc).

There's now also a Serv-U Platinum edition.

Current edition summary is online here:

Approximate mapping from old->new editions is:
  • Standard → Bronze
  • Standard Secure → Silver
  • Professional → Silver
  • Corporate → Gold
  • Home → Gold
