I mean, I want to set it up so I don't have a dependency in the main one.

Sure, that makes sense, but the code has to live somewhere. Do you want a separate repository for it?

Sure. The reason I started this thread is that I noticed I no longer see the code in the old svn repository trunk. Is there another place to get it or do you want me to pull it from the net-2.0 branch?
