Webelieve in the power of food to enhance quality of life. It is this belief that fuels our commitment to use our global scale, resources and expertise to contribute to a healthier future for people and the planet.

Good nutrition is fundamental to everyone's health and well-being. A balanced diet should - affordably and sustainably - provide all the nutrients and hydration a person needs to remain healthy throughout all stages of life.

Every American has a chocolate chip cookie memory. The scene of children coming home from school to the scent of fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies wafting from the oven is as ubiquitous as the chocolate chip cookie itself.

It all started back in 1939. Ruth Wakefield, who ran the successful Toll House restaurant in Whitman, Massachusetts, was mixing a batch of cookies when she decided to add broken pieces of Nestl Semi-Sweet chocolate into the recipe expecting the chocolate to melt. Instead, the semi-sweet bits held their shape and softened to a delicate creamy texture and the chocolate chip cookie was born.

Step 2

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

As a leader in baking for more than 80 years, Ruth's innovative spirit continues to drive Nestl Toll House today. With a strong focus on new product innovations, the iconic brand is constantly expanding its offering to meet the changing demands of the modern baker.

Thanks to the launch of Allergen Free Morsels in 2018, at-home bakers have an option for morsels that are free from the 8 major food allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish.

With the introduction of edible cookie dough, Nestl Toll House is making your childhood dreams come true by offering cookie dough that is inspired by the original recipe. It is safe and ready to eat, so grab your spoon!

Sustainably sourcing ingredients is also key to a great tasting cookie. That is why all chocolate in Nestl Toll House products is responsibly sourced through the Nestl Cocoa Plan and all cookie dough products are now made with 100% cage-free eggs.

Looking ahead, Nestl Toll House will continue to bring innovation to the baking aisle and Ruth's timeless discovery of the chocolate chip cookie will continue to be a cherished classic for generations to come.

The 14- to 20-minute cook time stated above is recommended for a cheese pizza. Please add 2 minutes to the cook time for each additional topping on your pizza. Rotate your pizza halfway through baking so pizza cooks evenly. Do not cook in microwave. Cooking in a convection oven is not recommended. If baking two pizzas simultaneously, alternate racks halfway through. Pizzas must be cooked or frozen within 24-48 hours of pickup.

Pizza may take slightly less time to cook if parchment paper is used. All ovens cook differently, so be sure to keep an eye on your pizza as it cooks. Pizza is done when the cheese is melted and edges are golden brown. Oven time and temp may vary; adjust as necessary.

Safe Handling Instructions

In climates where active cooling is needed, the Space Cooling Energy Demand requirement roughly matches the heat demand requirements above, with an additional allowance for dehumidification.

2. The Renewable Renewable Primary Energy Demand (PER, according to PHI method), the total energy to be used for all domestic applications (heating, hot water and domestic electricity) must not exceed 60 kWh per square meter of treated floor area per year for Passive House Classic. .

4. Thermal comfort must be met for all living areas during winter as well as in summer, with not more than 10 % of the hours in a given year over 25 C. For a complete overview of general quality requirements (soft criteria) see Passipedia.

All of the above criteria are achieved through intelligent design and implementation of the 5 Passive House principles: thermal bridge free design, superior windows, ventilation with heat recovery, quality insulation and airtight construction.

Thermal insulation

All opaque building components of the exterior envelope of the house must be very well-insulated. For most cool-termperate climates, this means a heat transfer coefficient (U-value) of 0.15 W/(mK) at the most, i.e. a maximum of 0.15 watts per degree of temperature difference and per square metre of exterior surface are lost.

Passive House windows

The window frames must be well insulated and fitted with low-e glazings filled with argon or krypton to prevent heat transfer. For most cool-termperate climates, this means a U-value of 0.80 W/(mK) or less, with g-values around 50% (g-value= total solar transmittance, proportion of the solar energy available for the room).

Ventilation heat recovery

Efficient heat recovery ventilation is key, allowing for a good indoor air quality and saving energy. In Passive House, at least 75% of the heat from the exhaust air is transferred to the fresh air again by means of a heat exchanger.

Airtightness of the building

Uncontrolled leakage through gaps must be smaller than 0.6 of the total house volume per hour during a pressure test at 50 Pascal (both pressurised and depressurised).

Absence of thermal bridges

All edges, corners, connections and penetrations must be planned and executed with great care, so that thermal bridges can be avoided. Thermal bridges which cannot be avoided must be minimised as far as possible.

I absolutely love the Wilton brand icing decorations you can find online or at craft stores. I bought them at Michaels craft store, which had a ton of gingerbread house decorating candies in the seasonal section including the pictured holly and these similar snowflake icing decorations. (Not sponsored, genuinely LOVE Wilton and Michaels craft store.)

Hi! Love your recipes. Just made the gingerbread dough and when I mixed the molasses egg and water with the brown sugar butter mixture, the mixture split. I added the dry and moved forward but did I do something wrong? Will it bake ok?

Some tips: I froze the dough because it was too wet and sticky otherwise. Cut it out and then baked without thawing. I used sugar that had been heated up to form a glue to stick the pieces together. Game

changer! I also use a cheese grater to make the edges of the pieces flatter, smoother, and even a bit angled to fit better when they were baked and hard.

How many of you grew up making the cookie recipe on the back of the Nestle chocolate chip bag?! It is THE chocolate chip recipe that started it all, the original Toll House chocolate chip cookie recipe! Toll House Cookie Recipe is a classic that is easy to make and turns out great every time!

To prevent hard and burnt cookies, take them out of the oven just before they look done. You want them to be just barely golden brown. They will continue to bake for a couple of minutes on your baking sheet. But this little tip will drastically change your cookies for the better!

After the cookies are solid, transfer them to an airtight container or a resealable freezer bag, placing parchment paper between layers to avoid sticking. Label the container with the date, and store the cookies in the freezer for up to three months.

As a hobby farmer, business owner, and mom of five, I'm all about keeping it simple in the kitchen. I'm here to help you make meal times a breeze. Let's work together to find something for your table.

Everyone loves a House Salad from their favorite restaurant. It's the perfect starter to any meal and loaded with tons of flavor thanks to all those crisp vegetables and croutons. If you're lucky, you might even get an extra sprinkle of Cheddar cheese and a crumble of bacon.

Making a classic, American House Salad at home is easier than you think, and after you know what goes in a House Salad, all that's left is to toss it all together and serve. Today we're going to cover the ingredients that go in a House Salad, plus everything you need to know to make it as good as your favorite restaurant's!

The House Salad is strangely named don't ya think? Seeing as how we mostly eat it when we are out at a restaurant? Just about all mainstream, American restaurants serve them up - Cheddar's, Chili's, Outback, Applebees - just to name a few, and if you're looking to copycat one of those restaurant's House Salad, you've come to the right place. I think it's high time we changed things up and bring it home, right where it belongs. Regardless of which spot serves up your favorite salad, the ingredients and the process remain the same and making it is not only going to be a cinch, it's going to be a fraction of the cost.

Most tomato varieties tend to get grainy and dull in flavor outside of the summer months, but Campari and Vine-Ripened tomatoes are great options for larger tomatoes. They tend to keep both a more vibrant color and flavor even outside of tomato season.

If you plan to use one of these varieties for your salad, take care to remove the seeds before adding them to the salad so they don't water down your lettuce. If you don't want to mess with seeding tomatoes, try using grape or cherry tomatoes for your salad.

House salad is really a very simple salad to make and doesn't require to much time in the prep department. To make one at home you'll first need to start with crisp lettuce. Romaine, Green Leef, and Iceberg are all excellent lettuce varieties for a house salad. Other vegetables often included are cucumber, red onion, and tomatoes. Red onions are best for salad as they tend to have a milder way about them than their white/yellow counterparts.
