In the article, written by Leonids Fridman "America Needs It's Nerds," tells about America denouncing nerds and geeks instead of rewarding them. Fridman's purpose is to give the real heroes a voice; nerds and geeks work so hard they put there mind through so much to find answers and are know as "basic" and "simple" compared to the one that's play sports. If the world didn't have the help from nerds and geeks that it has today, how do you think our technology would be? Those that play sports are put on the top of the pyramid for colleges while those that are book smart are at the bottom. This isn't fair to many if they want technology and other things to improve they should put the book smarts on the top and sports on the bottom. The main reason that Fridman write this article is to show that if our nation remains giving the athletes the most attention out nation wouldn't have a chance against the Japanese . In conclusion this active Fridman gets his point across to the audience so that they will understand why need and geeks should be treated better.
