RHbase/RHadoop Support for HCatalog

We are using HCatalog exclusively to access and define data in HDFS, can we source data in HDFS and/or via RHadoop or RHbase using HCatalog definitions?

Unfortunately there is no integration with HCatalog in RHadoop right now. What kind of APIs are available?
