I wanted to forward this message to the group so that anyone interested in distributed computing might be able to join in the global movement's efforts. Being able to marshall the unused computing power for the advancement of science and the benefit of people is certainly one of the things that we can all start doing to contribute to help bring about a resource based environment. Friends,
We now need 25,000 active members, to join the new BOINC project we are focusing on MalariaControl.net. Malaria kills around 1 million people every year, most of them children. By joining this project you can help speed up research that will help the Global Malaria Action Plan (GMAP), which is a series of measures that were proposed to eliminate malaria as a global public health concern by 2015, eliminate all malaria transmission within 8–10 countries by the same deadline, and build towards its eventual global eradication. Joining this project will help towards this goal. By joining this project we help bring this goal much closer to reality! Let’s put Malaria in the history books like we have already done with smallpox!

We are trying to get The Zeitgeist Movement some serious media recognition and we need your help to reach a goal of 25,000 active members on our team, which will allow our organization to rival today’s most powerful supercomputers. Supercomputers always get into the news.
Other benefits are:
• Eradicating malaria from the globe population will save massive amounts of resources which are currently used to treat the disease, just like the resources that have been saved from the eradication of smallpox
• Malaria kills around one million people every year. Help us to reduce the number of deaths and reduce the number of people becoming infected with malaria!
• We speed up research in finding the best ways to control Malaria
• It’s a great way to show people the collaborative power of the movement
• We get to help scientific research advance
• We help build a name for ourselves as a helpful group
• We gain notice by the research community as a group that helps
• Hopefully those in the research community will want to learn more about what this "Zeitgeist Movement" is all about
• Focusing all our efforts on one or a few projects indirectly supports other projects as it can free up processing power for users who are running multiple projects on BOINC as we take over the work they would have done allowing them to focus on other projects more.
• By reaching first place on team rankings, The Zeitgeist Movement gets more recognition and exposure.
