Greetings friends,

I recognize that this chapter of the Zeitgeist Movement has not been very active for the past few months. I recognize that these winter months are filled with many unique situations and activities that demand more of our attention than usual. I also realize that several of us have gone through major and positive life changes, such as having new additions to the family. For my own part, I have been focusing my attention on matters at home. I am confident though, that we all continue to think about and learn about the world around us, its current state of disrepair and disarray, and appreciating the growing momentum and sense of urgency that many people around the world are expressing in terms of the unjust and unfair nature of our situation, and the desire to change it for the better. I am glad that both locally, nationally and globally, people are gathering to learn more about the way the world works, and expressing their discontent with those realities.

In less than a month, we will once again be engaging in the global Z-Day event on March 10th. The main event will be held in Vancouver, Canada, and there are already several other major events being planned around the world. As for our own chapter, Armando has secured the South Texas College Auditorium for that date, and we will have the opportunity once again to engage the local community with our message, our ideas and our solutions for a better world for all people. For those willing and able, I would encourage you to start collaborating to implement ideas for this event. My personal goal is to hold of Zeitgeist Moving Forward, and potentially the new documentary being worked on by the Venus Project, Paradise or Oblivion, coming out soon.

In addition, I have began a new blog series on our homepage called 30 Days of Zeitgeist, in order to help bring forth interest and discussion about the movement and all its associated ideas leading up to the event. I welcome all suggested articles and media that you would like featured on the series that highlights the ongoing local, national and global efforts of the movement in helping to bring attention to the real underlying issues and potential solutions. I hope to feature local content in order to bring more interest to our community about our chapter. I am also hoping to focus on our local Occupy McAllen movement, which many of us have helped in their recent endeavors. I look forward to their participation in our event.

Thank you for your time and attention, and I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your continuing efforts to help make the world a better place for all people.
