Hi Team!!

 

I have successfully posted Gilles 2 submissions to the blog!  Very little editing, mostly shortening sentences, decreasing number of ‘and’s.  So glad everyone had safe, enjoyable flights.  I was thinking of you all at 8pm Friday, and 10:20pm Friday, during and after the wonderful Easter dinner Derek & I shared with our neighbor & her  family in Toronto.

 

Saturday we enjoyed leftovers, watched some old movies, including Plaza Suite with Walter Matheau.  After dinner Derek & I went to a Heavy Metal show, saw 6 bands play, including Ottawa’s own Exciter.  They have been around since 1976, been inspirational to Metallica and others, but never have made it big in North America.  They are huge in Europe, and the end of March played 5 dates in South America, including Brazil!  Derek has been a fan of Exciter since 1981, but this was the first time to see them perform live.  We had a great time, bought the t-shirts, had our pictures taken with the band members, networked with a record label owner and a couple of the bands (we do have a radio show!) and closed the place!

 

Had an excellent drive home Sunday, 4 hours exactly from 401 & DVP to Kemptville, with 2 stops.

 

I thought I would email you all with my journal of activities, just so you know that life is continuing here.

Hi Jenn, thanks for helping with th blog. i really appreciate it. it is crazy busy here as we expected. did you hear, Louise is on her way back to canada.her  mother had a stroke. i hope they can send you here. i have to go. brief chance for a rest and we present tonight. first time and ia ma going to do louise part too. xoxo
