Hello Everyone,

Just seeking clarification on orders.  We all agreed to spend up to $150 on the calendar books. Seeing we didn't get the price I thought I had found, we have re-evalutated the original number of ordering 25 each. Anna also gave many other nice suggestions for gifts. We also noticed that some of us share host families and it wouldn't make sense to give 2 books, but a gift from each team member would be appropriate.

So here is where we stand:

Orders will be taken for calendar books produced by Apple. Soft cover 8" by 6" 20 pages of photos for a price of $9.99 CDN plus HST and shipping cost. I can't get the shipping cost until the order is actually placed but when I ordered my calendars it was $8 to ship $40 worth of goods. So anticipate a few dollars per book. I think it is safe to guesstimate total of $15 each and be happy if it is less.

Based on that, I have decided to order only for my host families, as I would go over the $150 if I were to order enough for all my professional visits as well. Instead, I will buy things that can be shared by many people to bring to my schools and probably something personal from my kids to theirs.

Please send me your request for books by March 15th. I will place the order next week and bring each of you your copies at the March 26th meeting.

Gilles has requested $250 worth as he wishes to give out some extra gifts. So Gilles, you don't need to reply unless your order changes.

Ragen has asked for 10 books. Same for her, no reply needed unless you change your mind before next week.

Louise and Matt, you guys decide which one of us will buy a book for the families we share and the others will spend similar money on a different gift.

Jenn offered to buy books, keeping one for herself and giving the rest to the group to pass out as we wish.

Lastly, Matt had offered to look into getting free recycled bags with the 1000 Islands on them to put the gift into. Not sure if we was able to procure those or not but if anyone wanted to buy some, they are around $1.50 each here in Brockville. You may not want/feel need for a gift bag. Just an FYI..

Thanks,
Michelle
