Hi,

 

Please find the quotation attached from the CCTV service providers.

This is based on the analysis done by the technicians to bring our existing system into operation.

The only change or improvement I suggested is to bring the monitors to the security room, so that the security can check the movement at every block and basement.

Will provide more details in the discussion tomorrow.

Hi Stuti,

 

They need to visit our partment and do a technical analysis of our existing setup.

They need to list out the items that are not working which includes cameras and power adapters.

 

Our current system, facilitates recording the video and storing it in the DDR's.

But it doesn't solve the security issue because the monitors are placed at the respective blocks.

Therefore to improve the existing system, we propose to shift all the monitors to the security room and cabling or LAN connection should be done.

The estimate should include network services cost.

If they provide AMC then AMC cost is needed.

Hi Jayanthi,

To my knowledge, DDR will not be able to store much information and also the video recorded will be lost if there is power failure. I feel we should be able to store at least one day's of recording for any analysis by us or some authority. I believe we should also check whether they have software that can help to write to hard disk when connected to computer. The software should overwrite the recordings everyday such a way that we have always past 24 hours on the drive.

Hi Subhash,

 

Our existing DDR's are capable of storing 20days video data. Also, the video is never lost during power failure

We are trying to reuse the existing DDR...if the system is outdated then we might end up replacing with a new one.
