This is not at all the way a committee is formed and then dissolved. We all know that for every action there is equal & opposite
reaction, we see this even in the parliaments of developed countries, so no hard feelings. But that does not mean that ruling party / committee just like that gives away and if it does, that means there was something wrong or else
the committee itself was waiting for such an situation. Having done such a wonderful start we never expected such a abrupt discontinuation. Under the present circumstance I hope everybody would really appreciate the team sprit of the previous MC who have somehow at least hold the responsibilities for two consecutive years. Of course the current MC also had the burden to sort out some of the issues of previous MC but I am sure that everybody will agree that it will be the sole responsibility for the previous MC to sort it out.
Actually if we analyze we do not see any major issue that called for
dissolution of the current MC, the only reason was
that few members were supporting for the hike in maintenance charges and few were not, but for all this there is solution which would have been sorted by way of an proper justification & reconciliation. Nobody can be that obstinate to totally refuse the current MC's proposal.
We all know that no committee is here to act as per whims & fancies of each and every individual, but the MC is supposed to work within the guidelines of the frame work and we all owners are supposed to support their efforts. Also its not at all required for non MC members to get into day to day functions of the MC nor it is required for some members to
write lengthy emails as this will not give any result
but just drag the issue or make the MC / other members sick of it , however collective suggestions if any can be reviewed during the quarterly review meetings. Having said this a thorough quarterly review has to be made and finalized then & there itself with prior consensus from the owners. Frequent or quarterly reviews are very essential and are always very effective to senses the actual status/affairs of RGA.
RGA community is well matured and value their investment made, this is one of the reason why we see instant reactions when something's goes wrong at RGA, but we lack in accepting the reality. Todays reality is that we cannot accept the
sudden rise in maintenance charges and it is a normal
tendency of any Indian individual to react, but if the same was done stage-wise then we would have accepted to pay even much higher. So rather then internally fighting we should look at the issue and the ways to sort it out. If we do not have proper solution to tackle this , then this situation would come for any MC and there will be no end to dissolution of MC's over MC's.
In my earlier email also I had given a solution to tackle this situation, now with some tentative estimates I here by attach a simple working were everyone can review and give their suggestions, and if found suitable to implement we need to take a call as to from when we can
commence this model. I would appreciate if some finance guy can look into this model and add value in proper
modeling it. But what every stand ( with justifications ) any MC takes it should be firm and not like somebody will say I will pay 1.7 and some 1.9 , then in such a situation there is no need of MC.
Think positively for betterment for future.
Best Regards
